4. What type of container do I need—roll-off, hook lift, or front load?
The right container depends on the type and volume of materials you’re handling and your specific site needs:

  • Roll-Off Containers (also called roll-off dumpsters): Ideal for large, bulky materials and high-volume jobs like construction, demolition, or commercial cleanouts. These are delivered on a truck and “rolled off” at your site.
  • Hook Lift Containers: Similar in function to roll-offs but use a hydraulic hook system for loading and unloading. Great for tight spaces or projects requiring frequent container swaps.
  • Front Load Dumpsters: Commonly used for ongoing waste or recycling service at commercial locations like retail stores, restaurants, and offices. These are serviced regularly by trucks with front-loading arms and are a good choice for smaller volumes on a consistent schedule.
